DSWD-ABSNET 4TH INTER-GENERATION FESTIVAL AT MATI, DAVAO SUR
October 19, 2012 all of the children participated in the annual Inter-generation festival at Mati, Davao Oriental. The gathering aimed to unify and acquaint all the children from the different child care institutions within Davao del Norte Area. The children who participated were inspired by the testimonies of the successful people who were once like them, the children who also grew up in an institution. On the way home, we took the opportunity to pass by at the Dinosaur Peninsula, one of the tourist spot of Mati, Davao del Norte for the children to see. The view from the hilltop is amazingly beautiful and the children were so very happy to see it.

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PREPPIES
The Jireh Home Children happily installed and decorated their Christmas tree. Younger and older ones altogether helped to make their Christmas tree wonderful.
CHILDREN'S PARTICIPATION IN THE GIRL SCOUT CAMPING
RegineBasco, Carren Vasquez and JocelCabel joined the regional Girl Scout Camping held at Peňaplata Central Elementary School. It was their first time to join the said activity which made them feel so excited and happy. As they went home, they happily shared their experiences while at the camp.


CHRISTMAS PARTY CELEBRATION AT PARADISE PARK AND BEACH RESORT
A happy and joyous Christmas celebration of the children was held at Paradise Park and Beach Resort. Upon knowing that the celebration will be held at the very known resort in Samal, the then children excitedly waited for this special day. The administration of Paradise also gave the children a free entrance fee.

RELIEF OPERATION FOR THE TYPHOON VICTIMS IN MINDANAO
JHC staffs and discharged orphans who are now working in Davao City helped in the repacking of relief goods
Typhoon BophaStriked last December 04, 2012. The typhoon was very strong and devastating. A very large area was affected. Shelters, livelihood, water supply, electricity supply and life were damaged and taken. After the calamity, many government and non-government organizations initiated to extend a help to the people in need. However, since there were so many, the help being extended seemed to be insufficient for everyone.
Moreover, the typhoon also ruined five (5) churches affiliated with JJMFI of which 3 were totally damaged and 2 were partially damaged. So, the mission together with the help of the different individuals, groups and other Jireh churches extended a helping hand to somehow alleviate the hardships of the people brought by Super Typhoon Bopha.

RELIEF OPERATION AT MONTEVISTA, COMPOSTELLA VALLEY
On Dec. 11, 2012 Relief Operation at Montevista, Compostella Valley with ErlenJohanessen and Norwegian doctor, Irranvei. Primary needs such as: food, cooking materials, soaps and used clothing were given to 18 families through head pastor of JCfMontevista, Ptr. RELIEF OPERATION AT SAN ALFONSO, CATEEL, DAVAO ORIENTAL
Dec. 17, 2012 Relief Operation at Cateel, Davao Oriental. On the way, the team was stranded before reaching Barangay San Alfonso where the Jireh Church is situated. The municipality of Cateel helped the team deliver all the relief goods to the pastor and church members on the following day.
Ptr. Dante Marangon, head pastor of JCF-Cateelwas so happy to receive the following goods: rice, canned goods, noodles, water purifier, eating utensils, building materials and tools.

3 CHURCHES BEING HELPED DURING THE RELIEF OPERATION IN TRENTO, AGUSAN DEL SUR
January 11, 2013 Church visitation and Assistance to churches ruined by Typhoon Bopha at Trento, Agusandel Sur. Two (2) churches which were ruined by Typhoon Bopha were given assistance. G.I Sheets and nails were purchased and were given to the identified affected churches. Pastors namely Ptr. Corpuz and Ptr. Fonticha expressed their sincere gratitude as the team visited them. They were also thankful of the people who extended a help to somehow alleviate their hardships which was caused by the calamity.

CHURCH VISIT AND RELIEF OPERATION AT LAAC, COMPOSTELLA VALLEY PROVINCE
January 12, 2013 Relief Operation at Laak, Compostella Valley. Their church and the pastor’s dwelling were totally damaged. Meantime, they are now gathering at one of the small, abandoned and concrete house near the damaged church every Sunday while waiting for the complete provision to rebuild their church. The team joined them during their Sunday service to encourage co-believers in Christ to continue pressing on to God but the team became more blessed seeing God’s people singing praises and still thanking God amidst the calamity. After the service, Ptr. Edmund Sebio, head pastor of JCF-Laakand all his members happily and thankfully received the partial building materials, water purifier, rice, canned goods, noodles, eating materials and used clothing.
