EMERGENCY KITCHEN REPAIR
PAST CONDITION: Dilapidated traces made of wood caused by massive attack of termites. Ceilings are almost falling down.
PRESENT CONDITION: Stronger traces replaced by an iron material that will last longer.
Due to the massive attack of termites, the Jireh Home Kitchen undergone an emergency temporary repair in the month of July. The administration had decided to prioritize such repair in order to keep the structure standing and to keep the children and as well as the staffs away from accidents that this dilapidated structure would possibly cause in the future if not given any attention and response. Only wooden traces were replaced and plywood ceilings were recycled and were used / put in place again due to financial constraint.
CHILDREN SHOPS FOR THEIR OWN GOODIES
Children were very happy shopping for their own goodies (uniforms, shoes, bags, shirts, etc.). Group by group, they were all scheduled and went to the city to shop together with their house parents and other staffs. After the shopping, everybody enjoyed a lunch treat at Jollibee were every kid loves to eat. The shopping ended to be tiring for all of them but happiness was very apparent to their faces and they are very thankful to the sponsors who are ever supportive to give them a happy life and a brighter future.

A NEATER & CLEANER DINING AREA
A more neater and cleaner dining area and new eating utensils were provided for the children with the help of Nordic Mission who is ever supportive in the ministry of Jireh Home for Children. Now the children are enjoying their meal more having a neater and cleaner eating area.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Part of the services of Jireh Home for Children is Spiritual Formation which helps the children to know more about God who is our Creator and Savior. Every Sunday morning, all of the children are gathered together for some Christian songs, bible stories, prayers and other activities for them to better understand who God is and the reasons why we need God.
CHILDREN DURING STUDY TIME
Children are encouraged to study every night during weekdays or school days. Every 7:00pm-8:00pm after dinner, everyone is gathered at the dining hall to study, do their assignments and projects. They are being helped by their house parents in doing their home works.
