COMMUNITY FEEDING PROGRAM FOR THE MALNOURISHED AND INDIGENTS



Again in December 30, 2011 through the funds coming from Nordic Mission and from Hakon Fagervik, we called up 37 poor families of the community at Barangay Multi purpose and celebrated the Christmas party for them.The 37 poor families with their malnourished children were identified by the Barangay Health Workers. Eight (8) sacks of rice were purchased and gave each family 10 kilos plus groceries.  We also bought six (6) big cans of milk for the prizes of the adult games and of course the milk is for their children and twenty (20) apples for the children games.  We prepared lunch for the mothers, fathers and their children.  Rice, chopseuy, battered chicken, pork and macaroni salad for the Christians while rice, buttered chicken, escabeche and Macaroni salad for the Islams. The whole Castillo Family, the Barangay Health workers and the Barangay Council helped in the repacking of the rice and the groceries and cooked the food for the success of this Christmas party for the poor people in the community. Every one enjoys the big meals prepared for them and also for the rice,groceries and prizes that was given to them.
