SAYONARA CHIHIRO

Chihiro Miyaji a Japanese student who is taking up International studies chooses Jireh home to give her voluntary work.  She first came in December 02 – December 29, 2010 and then she returned to her homeland Japan but because she love the children in the home, she then came back In January 13 – March 28, 2011.  This time, she stayed more longer compare to her first visit.  She is a silent type young lady but so lovable.  She spends her time playing with the children and taught the youngsters the Japans popular “Origami”.  But the film rolls so fast.  Now, it’s time to say goodbye again.  So, in March 25, 2011, the children and staffs of Jireh Mission prepared a program and show their gratitude through rendering songs and dance, likewise the kids give her a flowers. During the program, Chihiro also have her time to speak.   During her short message, she is sad and teary eye in saying her goodbyes to the children and staff.  But she mentioned that she will really be missing Jireh Home Children and will comeback sometime in the near future.

THE VOLUNTEER NORWEGIAN ENGINEER IS WELCOMED

 

A 31 year old Electrical Engineer from Norway name Sveinung Overoye, also known as Smith came to Jireh Mission in February 28, 2011 with the purpose of rendering his voluntary work.  The people of Jireh were very happy of his coming and render a welcome presentation numbers for him. With his helped, the electrical problem and the lightings in the compound is fixed.  And now, he has another project which is the renovation of the kitchen.  Thank you Smith for all your help.

SKILLS TRANING PROGRAM FOR THE CHILDREN


It has been a long time desire of the Mission to come up with a project that would benefit the children in the Home. And through the initiative of Shabah Castillo Pimentel, the Human Resource officer of the Jireh Mission, in February 02, 2011 Miss Cristine Joy Castillo conducts the first lesson of a Skills Training for the selected girls of the home and they were taught to make Beaded Accessories made of pearls, crystal beads and other kinds of beads.  The children shows their interest in the production of beaded accessories and were able to make a lot of it.  And so, in February  12, 2011 they launch their first product presentation during the visit of the American team brought to the center by Ptr. Oning Diayon of the Family Circus.  The presentation came out to be satisfying since the visitors love it and gladly buys the product made by the creative hands of the children in the home.

ANOTHER SKILLS TRAINING FOR THE BOYS

 

Shabah Castillo Pimentel conducts another skills training called T-shirt Printing Workshop in March 19, 2011 and this time it’s for the eight (8) older boys of the home.   This training is base on the interest and request of the children and since this is very detailed and special Skill’s training, Shabah find it hard to look for someone to train the children and took her a long time to finally meet the right man through the internet and praise the Lord Mr. Tolits Ayala and wife the owner of Ayala Printshop in Davao City, offers their services to train the children for free.   The training starts in the morning and finally print their first shirt at 2:30 in the afternoon.  With high spirit, the children execute the steps on their own. They show interest to what they are doing of which the trainor feel very happy.   The children will start printing Shirts (for souvenirs & with Biblical Phrases).   This will help them change their lives who were once abused, malnourished, abandoned and deprived.

The Orphan Promise of the Operation blessing came to the home in January 18, February 24 and March 2011 for their continual support for the ministry of Jireh Mission in helping the less fortunate children.  They regularly provide the children with rice, soaps & other basic needs.  They do not only help the mission provide the children with their basics need but also with their emotional needs of which they also conduct counselling to the children.   Thank you Orphan's Promise.







PTR. PETER FUJI & PTR. EISHI NAKAMURA & WIFE KASUKO

With much excitement, In January 2, 2011  the children of the home welcome Ptr. Peter Fuji the  partner of the Chairman of Jireh Mission when it started and Ptr. & Mrs. Eishi Nakamura who is helping the children in the home for many years now.  Though Christmas Holiday Season has already ended, but gifts and surprises are still extending.  During their visit, they brought with them school supplies straight from the country of Japan.  They do not only gave pleasure to the children of the home but also to the staffs who were the skeleton of the Mission.  They treat them with a lunch at Precious Garden in Babak and distributes an envelope of blessing to all the staffs which everyone feels very happy.
